Nothing here..yet.. was just outside bringing in some corn and it's calm and cloudy. The temp here keeps bouncing from 31-33, yup with those temps it will be heavy crap.
With the water table low in the midwest this can't hurt in that way. Just hope people either stay home or slow down. All schools canceled here so I better start thawing out something to cook up for all the teenagers that will inhabit my living room tomorrow warming up by the stove. They love it so much I actually get them to haul in 5 gallon buckets of corn. I have some downstairs but save it for extreme cold so I don't have to go out.
They are still expanding the blizzard warning here almost the entire state. Well maybe like back in the 60's except I can't ski anymore (knees) and haven't owned a snowmobile in 10 years. Maybe a couple of days after will find some bunnies to put in the freezer, haven't done that in a couple of years.
One good thing is that we don't have much ice on the lakes yet so this snow won't make bad ice, maybe some good cold snaps will allow some good ice fishing this winter, could use some fresh Perch in the freezer.

Looks to be about 6" or more, can't tell in the dark. Still snowing, and wind is howling like crazy. Snow plows have been out already. Mama might be able to drive herself to work. I got a mess of gill filets in the freezer, half a beef,part of a hog, mess of home froze veggies, and shelves of home canned goods. I won't be hurtin for a while. But i do like rabbit and pheasant.

Good morning. Only about 4" here so far, exactly what they called for for daybreak, but very,very heavy wet stuff. Still calling for up to 14" by the end, a lot of wind, winds going to get worse all day.
Man, I bet the fish were biting good this morning.

Just got done moving snow. Really wet underneath. Anyone that don't move it before temps drop later, and 0 tonite, will have some frozen hard stuff! Waiting for mama to go to work, so i can pull blower in garage, and thaw it out.

Everything that was underneath is froze already. I went back out walking in driveway, and it was crunch,crunch,crunch.Down to 24 already.

Not cold here yet, still 30-33 but it is freezing up on the bottom. This winter will stink for ice, I had all new driveway and sidewalk to the house put in in July, no salt for this year. Even the stuff that says is "safe" isn't good for it.
Early removal, chisel and hopefully some sun light will help.
Summer before I had the entire roof done, last winter not enough snow to really test it out, well that's all changed now.
