wow just bought a bag of pellets to start the corn stove $7.35 with tax at home Hardware no one could afford to burn pellets all the time at those prices that more than corn

That is horrible. Price gouging at it's finest.
You can pour syrup on poop, but that don't make it pancakes.

what these people dont realise is they are going to price pellets so high they wont be worth burning and in turn stove manufacturers will close down and there will be no market for pellets ...

$179 per ton here or$3.58 per bag. Cheaper if you watch for sales. Can't burn corn for that price and way less ash.

I heard the pellets dont put out the same heat as corn but I dont know I only use it to get the corn going I would like to try wheat my stove will burn most grains

Wood pellets vary in quality and heat. I've been happy with the brands I've burned. I've only emptied the ash for the second time yesterday.
