Does anyone have a source for a replacement motor for the 7500 magnum? Do you have to buy the whole assembly? Grainger no longer carries the original and the replacement is about $215.00 for the assembly. I think the original is a 5c508 Dayton. Mike

I am looking for a speedy response all you 3500P veterns. I have the stove all apart cleaning again and need advice.

I found a new spot thanks to Tallcorn, the area behind the burn pot, that runs side to side and I believe may be where the outside air comes in. Anyways it was packed with ash, I ran a strightened coat hanger from side to side and got the vac in as far as possiable. How do I know this is clean? And this may have been my issue?

Time will tell, going to finish some small cleaning and put it back together, please respond quickly with other ideas on this area. Thanks B

Subject: Baby Auger problem - by: THORIUM818

Long story short, my auger motor quit working Monday morning about 5am. Seems as though the auger motor stop bolt had broken and the auger motor had flexed enough to break the wire that feeds power to the windings. No problem Ill take the motor off and see if I can fix it. Set screw came out easily but the motor would not disengage from the auger flighting. Hmmm. Take stove apart. Force motor off of shaft, clean, grind, file, and polish shaft, copper antiseize and motor fits smoothly on auger shaft. Solder and shrink tubed the broken wire and voila it actually works.

Auger motor fixed savings of 135.00 AES
Replaced broken motor stop bolt .49
Soldered broken wire .15
Warm hands and feet priceless

Ordered spare auger motor from suurplus about 20.00 for next time.

Subject: no corn in auger - by: chad s

Ok so I'm at work tonight and my wife calls. She says there is no corn coming out of the auger in my 3500p. she said the auger is turning. I told here to empty the hopper there must be something blocking the auger feed hole(stalk, cob, etc). She did and said there was nothing there. So when I get home in the am I need to investigate and fix it. Is there anything I might be missing. I know this sounds like an obvious fix or problem but I'm sitting here thinking about it and thought a second set of eyes or opinion would not hurt. Thanks

I had read that there is a new clinker pot (cast iron is it?) for the Baby Countryside (BC). I also read that there is a new "room fan" for it? What is the room fan? What benefits does it have over the old one? Maybe help me with why I should get it? Pics or links??

Subject: Corn Piling Up! - by: B Smithiers

Hi all,
Since the installation of the new clinker pot I have had few problems, great heat, and the stove has been a lot cleaner. However this season I am having some issues, in the past while burning corn I have had to use very little draft and could get great burning for up to 12 hours. This years is different the stove has been needing a great deal amount of draft and I can only get a good burn for about 7 hours. I will clean it up around 9 or 10 before I turn in and by 5 when I get up it is over flowing the pot and has both of the areas beside the pot filled up with half burn't corn as well. After 3 years of burning I would have thought I had this figured out, but once again I am asking for help, what am I doing wrong? B
