Hey fellow Mainer, FYI I've had the best results with wood pellets from MWP out of Athens Maine. No jamming issues, good heat out put, low ash & fines and they are on the low end of the price scale. $205/Ton at Wally World. Tractor supply carries them as well. I tired others with mixed results and was getting 2-3 jams a day or should I say in the middle of the night as it seemed to a 2 AM ritual part of last winter when I was burning Green Team pellets that I bought at lowes.

Another Mainer here. I thought I was the only one around here with a Bixby.
No luck with any Maine pellets here. Mostly lack of heat output in the dead of winter and major soot issues. Been running my Bixby 6 years and still love it. Bixcheck is great for dialing in fan and exhaust settings.

Well, Last year I updated to the latest firmware with the help Blume98, did the air wash mod and heated my 2,400 sqft house with a 25 ft cathedral ceiling 100% on pellets last winter and only went above level 5 a couple of times. I'm as far North as you can get in the County on the Canadian border & we aren't exactly known for our balmy weather in the mid of Jan. The stove can perform, it just needs to be dialed in.

Blume problem solved....so far running 18+ Hours no problems Exhaust -2 Feed + 1.5 Im thinking I may want to tweek it a little as the weather gets colder but it looks like turning down the Feed and increasing the Exhaust did the trick thank you !

Yup as the temp drops you will have to tweak to prevent overflows. Real sudden drops overnight caused more than a few overflows when I had my Bixby. Miss the nice even heat but my back doesn't miss the lifting!

Back doc hollers at me if I lift over 20 pounds now. And no repetitive lifting at all.

Dollarbill did you get your stove dialed in for pellets? and if so what version are you using? I've heated for the past six years with corn and had no problems at all but with the price of corn I thoutht I'd use pellets also. At this rate I'm going to yank all my hair out before I figure this out. I'm currently using verson 2.06, never changed it because my stove has run flawlessly sense day one. Level 1 burns good with fan 0, feed 2.5 but if I go to level 2,3,4 etc I don't get any more heat the flame actually gets smaller. Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.
