RONA I agree totally ! Being in wood coutry like i am maybe its differant ! Bixby dealers now is zero and after buying my Bixby 5 years ago year by year the dealer did less and less if not for you guys Id been out long ago ! I have 4 Harman dealers within 15 Mins of my Home all real nice to deal with two more so than the others! But Ive never to this date had an issue with the Harman two gentlemen that rent space off me have also had their harmans around six years not even a hicup,no bad ignitors nothing as i said never had a problem with my Harman using just pellets guess i got lucky, corn here is through the roof, pellets are still cheap even good ones from Canada ! As for running Corn Bixby was the best and its to bad they went down the tubes !

I'm on my 8th season with our Bixby running full time. I'd buy another. Parts are readily available. User support on this forum and the WIKI are excellent. User configuration is outstanding with Bixcheck software. It is essentially open architecture. We burn mostly corn but have burned buckwheat and pellets in it with no problem (as long as the pellets aren't too long -- long ones cause dust buildup under the feeder wheel). Rye is another easy-to-grow crop to consider. See forum.iburncorn.com/wiki/index.php/Other_grains .

Bixby Maxfire 115, burning corn, pellets and buckwheat since 2005.

I would be that idiot from Idaho who burns wheat. I used corn mainly last year and guess what? Back to good hot clean wheat. You guys can keep the corn. I grow both so I can choose and cost is not a deciding factor.

Think this is my 4th year with Bixby and I am asking myself, or maybe should ask the forum, if buying a new model would be wise for parts or future use. I know I would spend 500 or less for a used one. Reason is I don't think there is any replacement that fits my needs.
