Hi new here and just looking for some info. I just bought a used bixby and finally got it burning good but it dose not blow much heat. The blower blows very little even at highest setting. When it starts the blower is on high and good heat but still nothing like the others that I have used. Then it will go down to lower blower setting and stay there. Is this common for them to run on low all the time? I'm trying to heat my small basement but it can not get it over 40. The air temp coming out if the stove is only 70, my dell point upstairs is 250. Any help will be great my house is around 50and right now because I can't get the basement warm.

What heat level are you operating at? Fan speed is a function of the the flue temperature.

What does your flame look like?
See videos of decent flames that produce lots of heat: forum.iburncorn.com/wiki/index.php/Bixby#User_Videos

Is your exhaust very hot?

What is your fuel, and how much are you burning per day?

Is your basement insulated?
