I changed the convection fan bearings a few days ago after the fan stopped, then eventually restarted. 6-7 years on the stove, 2.71 software. Model 115.
I marked all the wires and think I connected them all properly.

Started it up by plugging back into the wall outlet. Convection fan runs right away, but the #2 and #4 lights come on. Doesn't do an ash dump at startup, no feed wheel rotation, no heaters naturally.
It seems that the 'On' or 'Off' button don't do anything. Unplugged it, waited, re-plugged. Same.
I read the Wiki and #4 might be the door switch. I did remove the door switch from the firebox wall by removing the two 5/16 screws before I removed the convection fan, reconnected it properly, I thought.

If I depress the door switch brass rod with my finger, side panel off, I can just barely hear the switch 'click'. If I close the door with the handle, (quiet room), I can't hear the switch.

Should I attempt to loosen the two adjustment screws on the switch and slide it a little closer to the rod?

Appreciate any advice. I think I killed my Bixby with kindness (new bearings).

got something plugged in wrong, should hear switch make when just loosening door handle, have thermocouple on j18? (main board), or white cable one 1 pin off

Thanks Ralph. I didn't remove J18 or the white cable strap, but I just checked to see if they were plugged in correctly and they were. I checked all others and I believe they are OK.

Again, I watched the door switch. If I press the rod with my finger, simulating the door closing, I hear the switch make up. I watched how much travel it had to make the switch complete. Then I used the door handle to close, watched the rod come to the switch and it did not make any sound and didn't appear to travel in far enough. I used my finger (power off) to push the stainless arm that the rod pushes on, pushed it a little and the switch made a sound.

I didn't do anything to the door; just unscrewed the switch bracket from the wall and set it carefully aside. Is that switch delicate? Should I search the old forum for a door switch topic?
Thanks.

I would think you could connect a jumper wire bypassing the switch just to make sure it isn't anything else.

Rona - it worked! A jumper wire got rid of the #4 light and it started up. It's running now. I'll 'watch' my new fan bearings perform and later get to why the door switch caused trouble.

Thank you again, and this forum for it's support and other's fresh thinking.

One other thought is you could use a ohms tester to see if the switch works or not before replacing it.
