Hello, was just wondering if the bearings in the exhaust fan are easily replaceable as the convection fan? I heard my exhaust fan making a lil odd noise the other day but it has quit for the most part. Thanx
Been running a Bixby since 2006, I really like it and hope to keep it going for a long time!

Some say there is a oil tube but you have to remove the exh fan and turn it as the tube is on the bottom. I had a funny noise on mine this winter and removed the cleanout plate expecting to see a bunch of garbage in it but nope looked pretty clean with no build up so I spun the fan and pushed it back and forth trying to see if it was loose. Didn't feel anything wrong so put the cover back on and am running it with no noise or abnormal sound of speeding up or slowing down. Maybe a chunk of something came loose and went through but is working fine now.

Well I had to switch out with my old stove, couldn't get the #6 light figured out, so now I'm back to my old stove that has been burning since 2006, thought I'd "upgrade" to my mom and dad's stove with fewer burn hours on it and that's the one I had trouble with, I have torn apart just about everything that could be on my old stove so I'm the guy everyone calls around here for help when their stove goes down. Well I think it might be the motor in the other one, there is a bit of play in the motor in and out so I'm guessing that's whats wrong with that one, it will be my shop heater once I get it going again.

I know the fan runs with the door open on front just fine, and the sensor tested out at the 1000 ohms like it should have. How do you hot wire the fan to see if it's working? so then you know for sure it's the sensor since neither part is very cheap?

You could get it running and turn the exh fan speed knob as fast as it will go then turn it down as slow as it goes. listen for strange noises. I'm not sure but I think somebody said there was a bushing on one side of the exh fan. I have never heard of anybody replacing bearings on it. There maybe a generic fan that can replace it. Maybe look in the Bixby wicci??

there are 2 bushings in fan, you probably cant buy, or even fet fan off shaft without a lot of work. we have taken off by welding nut to fan then pushing off, better to replace, i have
