I do not have this stove, but was researching them online. What do you think of it? Do you like it and does it heat well?

My father has this stove. This is his first year with this stove. So far everything seems to be working fine, except when I did not get the burn pot properly seated after dumping!!!

The stove was supposed to come with a locking burn pot and I had problems with it sliding off the ignitor. The factory sent an upgraded pot to my dealer. The stove throws plenty of heat but my only complaint is that if you burn corn or a corn/pellet mixture the factory recomends you do not use the thermostat. When I looked at different stoves I definitely wanted one with the thermostat so I could leave it unattended with no worries. The burn pot does not have a stirrer so when it is in thermostat mode the corn clinkers tend to fill up the holes in the pot making it harder to ignite each time.

How easy is it to keep the fire going when you pull the clinker? I am considering one of these for a second stove.

I have not burnt any corn in mine yet but the stove has burnt the heck out any kind of pellets I have put tho it 4 for far. The pot cleaner dumps every thing out of the pot when you use it does good job. I am very happy with mine I have not been able to run it above the low setting for long or it cooks me out of the house. It is my first stove but looks to be easy to clean also will find out soon. the fire starts easy just push button and it does it all by its self. The controler had built in thermostat it is on a 4 conductor phone line easy to add on it and put any place you want

I picked up one of these used. It's definately hard to start on corn. It's basically a manual stove it you want to burn corn. The settings that the chart on the side reccomended for burning corn aren't really that good. It keeps going out on those settings. It seemed to burn better when set for cherry pits. The dealer I talked to said this was more of a corn stove then pellet, but I don't see that. Maybe I need better educated on the settings or something. The manual is pretty useless.

Great with pellets. I really like the burn pot. It's about the best design I have seen yet. I burned about 60 lbs of pellets and there was hardly any ash. The corn clinker falls right out without any effort. It has a big ash pan. Overall I like it. I don't know what CFM the heat exchanger fan is but I think it could be more. Wish it did better with corn. The sales pamphlet touts the stove as being designed to burn high ash content fuels so I am eager to get some worthless pellets and try them out. I'd really like to get my hands on some grass or leaf pellets that had been made with one of those small home pellet makers and see how they burn. It would be great if I could make my own pellets from my mowing clippings and leaves.

The recommended settings in the manual & on the stove are way off. I burn a corn pellet mixture which I find burns a lot hotter than just pellets. It gets cold here in northern NY and on the coldest days I burn pure corn on range 3 or 4 without the thermostat on. Adding as little as 20% corn to pellets produces much more heat. I dump my pot every day and clean out the stove every 2 weeks or so. If you call the factory they can run you through the steps to increase the output of the combustion fan.
