I had a US Stove which was very sooty, so I bought a DP 75 off ebay. It was shipped from Iowa, and sat in the barn for a couple of months. When we plugged it in, turned out the board had been replaced as it was not screw in tightly. The Europa would not boot out. Talked to Claude and bought a new board and thermodisk. It ran for a month straight, then stopped. As it was the end of the heating season, we cleaned it and just let it sit. I'm now trying to get it up and running. We start it, and everything seems fine. A1, A2, then the 10/3 settings, but instead of the auger spinning, we end up with E1.

Can anyone suggest what we do? We called Claude, who said replace the thermodisc -- but the thermodisc is the new one. I know a lot of people have given up on these stoves, so I'm wondering if I can find a way to keep it running, or shall I just cut my losses and get a different brand?

PS - the US Stove is still running. No problems. Just press teh button and up it goes.

Does the stove kick out when you burn pellets. Sounds like a clinker jamming your augers.

No, it didn't. I called Claude at Paromax, who was very helpful. We went through the problem and he asked me if there was any wiggle room in the auger, or if it was jammed tight against the bar. As it was tight against the bar, he said it was probably a jam. Claude had me remove the 2 large philips screw holding the auger in, then carefully drop it & remove the pellets. Did that, and its started up right away. Am quite happy.
