TOPIC: Battery Backup & Power Supply Output

Battery Backup & Power Supply Output 4 months, 3 weeks ago #16951

I have a Europa [FPI] made Oct 2005. Burn corn mainly. Added 2 more studs between plates couple years ago - big improvement. Replaced board years back- now have the 30 minute start up, instead of 8 minute origional.
Snow storm last week we were out of power day and a half. Tried couple times to get stove to run a battery but would always go to E5 [power lose]. Stove would continue thru hour plus cool down just fine. Old directions said to hold Corn button for 10sec to switch over, but no response with this newer board.
Power supply output was at 13.5 volt. What should that be set at- maybe closer to 12.0V? This was checked when stove was off, no load from motors.
Dealer had me check fuses and all were good. He also said newer stoves switch automaticly. Have battery in garage on other side of wall. Added about 3ft to the battery backup cord. Do I need to rewire and eliminate the gator clips and factory spade connectors? Battery checked 11.98V during cool down. Any ideas to make stove run on battery and not shut down? Thanks
