Does anyone still have an operating Europa?

Re: Stove 2 years, 4 months ago #3067

Oh sure, every day when we need heat. Do you have one? Having problems? or just want to learn more about the lowest operating cost heating appliance?

sure do---running good and not cleaned for month. why do yo ask?? believe mine mfg. in 2006 FPI. Think Paromax in Canada has taken over current mfg on similar stove (owner developed europa as i recall). Some parts probably same but iam concerned over parts availability as needed.

Hay Rookie, Just shut mine down for a good cleaning before Christmas company. She has been burning since early October and a little over a ton of pellets thru it. Did not seem to reduce heat output of it either. It seemed to run a little hotter?

This 2006 FPI Dell-Point heats more area for me than the specs claim.
I have not cleaned it since startup in October.
Don't need to clean out all the fine stuff, it's not picky, it eats it all.
Giant 2 inch pellets? It eats those too

Still using my Europa here.

I had a bit of trouble with the set screw on the feed auger at the beginning of the season, but once I fixed it, it has run flawlessly.

Well it's good to hear these machines are still kicking. I just fired mine up on pellets a while ago and it was leaking smoke. My wife is tired of the stove and wants me to take it out but I'm still determined to make it work right. I found that I can't run it on level 1 because the combustion air suction is not enough to keep the smoke from coming through the door gaskets. If I run it any level higher it runs fine. This is really the first time I've run it on pellets and I like the heat it kicks out. Burning corn I never got this amount of heat.
Anyway our gas prices are way down and I don't run it much and I haven't seen many posts in the forum so I was wondering if Europa buyers had moved on to something better.
Anyway Happy New Year and good burning.

Dreamer if you take a dollar bill and place it between the door and the stove it should clamp down on the bill pretty good. I replaced my door gasket last year with a thicker one. Was a bit of a pain the first few times. Had to push hard to make it shut, So I didn't break the handle, But settled in real nice.

My stove is running great. This is the third year burning and the center ash auger has eroded away to nothing, but amazingly it still works fine. Burning pellets this year. Very good heat, nothing much to do but enjoy it!
