My feed auger stopped last night, upon inspection I found a hanging YELLOW LEAD- I assume this is the correct lead but want to hear from a Pro! if possible.

Also thinking of buying a AUGER MOTOR to have on hand for future need, if any
dealer out there out can get me a cost W/shipping in US 67502..

And.. a while back asked about Helic Gage reading at levels 1-5, got a reply from
other sources..
1. .10-.15
2. .12-.17
3. .15-.20
4. .25-.30
5. .40-.50

I personally ignore that gauge.
Put a stovepipe thermometer in the airflow of a middle heat exchanger pipe.
Rutland , Drollet or whatever.
I hang my 2 from bent flat steel.
350 to 400 F on HR3 is what I get.
No crunching, squealing or banging ash augers?
No fuel covering the second set of fire tube holes? (bottom up)
350 degrees and above output air?
All is well. (for me at least)

I keep mine on level 3 about 70% of the time,4 gets kind of loud & 5 COOKS! As far as the motor noise, I had seen something about a GROUND WIRE one could attach & ground the motor with which cuts down on -feedback?- noise?- somehow someway?
I adjust air for different pellets now, had been burning PINE & got OAK this year & found I had to kick-up the air supply too keep from makeing charcoal! Thanks to a reply I got here, old site. Anyway glad to hear the input!
