Hi guys i was just wondering if any of you Fahrenheit users know how to slow down the auger speed or time it runs on start up. If i can nurse mine past the first ash dump it will usually run for a week straight, but if i just start it up and walk away the darn thing will flood over with unburnt corn and pellets. It just seems to me that on the start up the auger is running way to long and not waiting long between runs. this is my second year of using this stove and last year with pellets we had no issues but this year i had a great corn crop so i am doing a 30-70 mix. Corn is screened and about 14% moisture. Hope someone can steer me in the right direction.

Thanks

i was having issues with it igniting? i got last yrs model and i can change it to a wheat settting instead of corn that will slow the feed rate i believe? i also had a problem it igniting and overfilling the pot but i never cleaned under the pot where the igniter is. Last thing is open the lid on the bin it will stop the auger.

Well I think it might have been more of what i didn't do and not so much the auger or anything the stove was doing wrong. I took the exhaust blower assembly off and gave it a thorough cleaning and it seems to have cured my problem. I thought i had cleaned it good last spring but i guess not good enough.

It was good you found the problem. In the book fan maintenance is monthly depending on your fuel. Once you notice the airflow slowing take a look at inner working of the stove.
