We have an early pf100 (2004-2005) and were gone a few days to Seattle and had a neighbor fill the hopper as needed as she has done before. She called the other night and said it must be out because it wasn't using any pellets. Fortunately, house is insulated well enough and temps around freezing that water lines weren't a problem until we got home.

So we get home and I notice nothing in the burn pot. The lady had called my wife who asked her how many blinks on the status light. None - it was on, but no flame in burn pot. My first thought was a 5-blink error and I cleaned the entire stove.

I was wasting my time. Got it cleaned, went to fire it up and no combustion motor. Status light blinked once and stayed on. I checked auger and turned it manually (when it was off) and it cycled fine and dropped pellets into auger. But no combustion motor. I have a backup but before mounting it, i just hooked it up. Nothing. No blower motor. Circuit board acts fine - status light stays on and feed motor light actually comes on, even though no blower motor and no auger working.

So I have a circuit board suggesting everything is fine, but no blower motor (and new one won't work either) and no auger (although auger "feed" light lights up) and I have no heat. Well, other than fireplace and several well placed portable heaters.

Earlier, I questioned circuit board when igniter didn't work right, now I'm REALLY questioning circuit board. Any other suggestions I may have overlooked? Thanks in advance.

Have you checked the White Rogers fan control with high limit contacts, not sure if the high limit has a reset or not?

With a multimeter you can check the voltage to each component at the circuit board
The yellow wire is your igniter. should have 120vac. trace the other wires or use the schematic check to see if they are getting voltage. Also check the that the white connector with the wires is plugged in to the board all the way.

The schematic shows that a blue and white wire are the two wires going to the N.C. high limit switch. This means that continuity between these two contacts is the norm, no continuity will result in the combustion blower not starting, vac switch doesn't close, auger doesn't run, igniter doesn't power on. If you don't have a means to check for continuity, touching these two wires together will tell you( combustion blower will run) if this is where your issue lies. If the combustion blower runs with these two wires connected, if no reset for high limit, the fan control will need to be replaced. The info that I've provided is just to test the high limit, DO NOT RUN THE FURNACE WITH THESE TWO WIRES CONNECTED FOR ANY PERIOD OF TIME.

Just thought of one other thing. There is a pressure switch. when you open the door to the burn pot. all lights can be on but nothing will happen.except combustion blower will operate.

Also If the lid to the pellet bin is not down all the way. this will also cause the unit not to run. overfill or pellets back by the hinge.

He has already mentioned that the combustion blower doesn't run.

RAM1961,
Did you resolve the issue with the pf100, if so, what was it????
