First season the pc45 worked fine, more fuel usage than i was use to but plenty of heat. This winter it worked fine until i moved the stove to the basment. All motors work in test mode. When I turn it to room temp, no matter what setting it does its startup as it should, once that inital feed of pellets are burned up the fire dwindles down to almost nothing even with the feed rate turned up to 6. Room sensor seems ok, if i unhook it i get the 4 blink error, plug it back in the 4 blink error goes away. It never runs long enough so the distribution fan never comes on. Could this possibly be an esp probe problem? I cleaned it and put it back in but nothing changed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Does it still feed fuel? Was there enough fuel in the burn pot when you started?

Try running on stove temp setting and see if it will run and build up enough heat to start the fan.

4 Blinks: Can occur only in Room Temp Mode and
indicates Room Sensing Probe failed or not installed.
If a Room Sensing Probe is then installed, the status
light will automatically reset.
NOTE: Unit will not start in "AUTO" with this status
error.

Another thought, did you change your dip switches for pellets? Is there anything clogging your exhaust? Is the exhaust too long now that it is in the basement?

What is your status light doing after start up? Does it stay on? If you adjust your fan speed, does it effect the burning? My POT's are getting worn out on this control and will get 3 blink and do simular to what your are talking about. I just adjust till the status light stays on, then no problem.

the exhaust run is the same with the addition of 5 ft vertical added. i replaced room sensor and esp probe, it didnt fix the problem. i dont get any blink errors at all. status light apppears to stay on constantly. i get plenty of pellets feeding in for startup, after that initial feed and decent fire the amount of feed is just barely enough at all settings,it appears to go out for a sec then just enough feed to keep a flame again. distribution fan never comes on. everything works in test mode. Same scenario in room temp mode and stove temp mode. i assume new circuit board is the next try?? Draft reading are also fine.

Getting any help from your dealer/Harman as your replacing alot of things and Harman pellet stove supposed to have 2 year warranty? I am going to look at a pc45 in a week and half and the list of things your replacing because of a move would scare most new potential stove owners.

I found the solution to the problem. Something I never imagined. I emailed Harman direct a few days ago and kind of glossed over their reply. They listed 5 different possibilities I ruled them all out except for the circuit board or the POLARITY. Last ditch effort I plugged it into an extension cord and tried a different outlet and it worked perfectly. I didn't think that polarity would be an issue Ive used that same outlet for other things, I had an Auburn St Croix plugged into that outlet for 2 winters without any trouble. Anyway I appreciate everyones replies to help figure it out. This is the only issue Ive had with the Harman. Its been great otherwise.

AES suggested in dealer training to check polarity and grounding of stoves power outlet and install of surge protecter. Glad to here of Harman support and resoultion of problem!
