Looking to find a photo of the pellet conversion kit for my LDJ corn boiler. Its the 165k BTU unit. I've been burning corn 7 seasons now and my unit ticks like a Swiss watch. Not sure I want to convert to wood but corn prices are a bit high for me. I'm on my last ton of last years stock so I have to make a decision soon. I saw some old posts and called a dealer that sells the kit but they don't stock them. I don't want to buy something for $300 plus with out seeing how it hooks up to my system. I'm really interested in seeing the part that T's into the blower and where that goes. I undestand how the rest of the kit works. I've read some posts but I'm unclear how air is fed into the low fire auger. A picture is worth a thousand words.

I have a few pics in this album. Keep in mind my LDJ kit is for a 100k unit.

Thanks for the Pics YooperSlim. Now I have a few more questions...What's the flex hose on the blower for and where does it tie in? Is it pulling fresh air from outdoors? Also looks like you have a controller on the blower. Is it set up to run at different speed and different timing than it would for corn? Lastly, what's the PVC rig with all the hose in the other pics? Looks like a corn cleaner of sorts... You have a unique user name. Might you be from the UP of Michigan?

The flex hose on the blower is to use outside air, I would imagine. Nice pics guys! Love those Kan_Burn cleaners. The whole kit for the 165k also includes the pvc flighting and also a 3 rpm motor for the bin.

Thanks guys for all the picks and info. Looks like a pretty simple set up. I have a boiler but the set up will be the same. Keep you posted should I make the change. I may need some pointers on changing timer settings etc.

It really keeps the smoke from going back to the bin. The only time it still does, is when you run out of fuel, it still gets back in there.

Yeah, that flex is just outside air, seems to help in not drying the house out so much. I did have a variable speed control before the pellet conversion kit. It was used to control the combustion air. I took it off when I installed the kit and have had no need to hook it back up. That pvc pipe looking thing is a "Kan Burn", you can find all kinds of info on this site about them and how to build it. And yes, I am in the eastern U.P. Technically not a yooper though, born and raised below the bridge as a troll;)

YooperSlim. Is the PVC auger tube coming from the hopper a 3" and are you still using the 2 RPM motor from the bin? Also, what timer settings are you at?
