I hooked direct power to the augers and both work fine. I re fired the furnace and now see that my high fire timer doesn't have the green light on that it usually does. I am thinking a timer failure. Anyone disagree with my findings? Is there something else I should be looking at?
Thanks, Muggsy

Did you test the auger motors while trying to move corn/pellets? Or did you test them with no restriction? When one of my motors went it would spin out on the bench great. Try to move material and it would skip on the gears.

I tested them with the pellets in them. I am thinking my timer is going bad. I re fired the furnace and it ran pretty good for a couple hours then the little green light on the high fire timer (which tells augers to send pellets I think) went dark and it hasn't augered in any pellets. I am not even hearing the augers run....

Something else to check: if you have the fan running on the combustion blower when set on start, (after the light goes out) check your snap switch on the exhaust pipe is making good contact and working correctly (if you have a boiler) or (if furnace) the lower limit switch is good. It does sound like a faulty timer, but check and make sure it's seated good in the cube. Good Luck

Thank you for the input Nogas. I replaced the high fire timer and my furnace burned out in about 6 hours. Thinking that maybe I read the manual wrong, I swapped the timers and pu the old one in the BTU timer and replaced the old high fire timer. She has been singing like a song since then! Plenty of heat and the fuel oil furnace now sits idle again! Thanks again for the help! Muggsy

Way to go! Just in time for another blast of winter. I sure hope this is the last.
