My stove has a recycle timer made by PGB products on it. As everyone probably already knows, the timer is capable of staying on for 1-100 seconds and off for 4 seconds. I'd like to play with the on time for the fuel (now burning pellets, and on for 12-13 seconds would be much nicer. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this?

Yes Allen, I too would like to increase fuel by 20%.

If it is the same as the SSAC timers you just change the
range of the potentiometer. If you can post the full part
number I'll see if I can give you the exact value.
I believe though that a 100K pot will give you 100 sec.
Measure the value of the pot you have now and report back.

That's kind of why I was asking.. not sure how to measure. I think the potentiometer controls the amount of voltage the timer gets, is that accurate? Not sure if I can hit the leads with a multi meter at 1 and 10 and figure out how much current is going to the timer? I'll post some pictures of it as well.

Disregard that last post.. so changing the potentiometer to something like a 14k would result in 1-14 seconds?

With a meter on 200k 2 of the leads hang around 80 ohms and the other lead stays at about 30 ohms. This is with the fuel feed cranked at 10. I'm trying to upload pics but it's not working for some reason..

The pot controls the resistance to the internal timer.
Increasing the resistance usually increases the time, but
if the pot is already at max for that model you will not see
any increase.
With the power unplugged from the stove measure the
resistance between each of the two outside terminals.
I will look this timer up and report back.

Could not find that manufacturer but on a older
stove that I had at one time this is the timers they
used. I have used these also in many other applications.
Here is a link to the type of timer in the snowflame
fire place inserts.

Thats the one that these guys are looking for I think. The ones used in snowflames, amaizablaze and all the other ones are 1-10s potentiometer timers. Some one out there makes 1-20s timers also. A friend of mine inadvertently bought a 1-100s timer by mistake once. The problem was that it is to hard to fine tune your feed rate with such a long set timer.

I had to set the multimeter at 2000k to get a reading.

Fuel feed 0 - 0ohms
Fuel feed 5 - 237 ohms
Fuel feed 10 - 477 ohms

Did your reading just say xxx, or xxxK?
If your readings are correct then get a
1000 (= 1K) ohm pot and it should double your time
if the module will go that high.
