yes i did! But now i am afraid to try leaf blower again.
Thought about trying my big shop vac and try to suck it out instead of blowing.
What do you think?

I use a shop vac type vacuum in blower mode with a cone nozzle attachment. I'm not totally sure, but it might be long enough to stick in past the air balancer tube and blow at that point. Here is a picture of it.

Well willie I don't know. Hardly any wind catches the edge of plug and if you stick anything very deep in there ,you might hit and dislodge it. If you use leaf blower or reverse shop vac it should really create pressure which would have tendancy to hold it in. I would use leaf blower or vac in blower mode and consider myself unlucky that one time. I hit the pipe when blowing once and a piece of grud fell from box and stopped fan, reached in with stick and gently broke up and blew out with leaf blower. Been lucky with plug so far but next cleaning I may try and dobb some silicone on there I wonder if you hit it with your nozzele. I would just put it to the entrance and no further. It won't blow back on less it's plugged.

Willie...in the beginning of corn/pellet burning, we all used the shop vac suction method. It does work. It is just that blowing with the leaf blower works much better so we kind of graduated to that. Which ever way you choose will give you good results.
