You can get much more leverage with a hex socket, wratchet , and extension. After it gets broke free you'll be able to turn it by hand.

going to the store tonight to get the correct size hex socket. I need to set this bad boy free.

keep us posted!

Mine was stuck with weld spatter and it was new. I used a long handled allen but your idea is much better.

Well, on the "Little House on the Prairie" show it took days sometimes to go to town and get something at the store. Or, maybe he got abducted by aliens. Or, maybe he got carjacked on the way to Walmart for that socket. Or maybe, he stopped for a beer and ran into some old buddies. Or maybe, he was at the store and found some hot babe. Or maybe I'm just guessing
You can pour syrup on poop, but that don't make it pancakes.

I wasn't eaten or abducted by aliens. I bought a socket Allen wrench, put all 270 pounds on that bad boy, and managed to break the socket wrench. Needless to say, adjustment screw is unmovable. Currently have a penetrating lubricant on it in hopes of setting it free.

Sorry for the delay of reporting. No free period today at school. I'm a teacher.

No problem. Were just trying to amuse ourselves to help pass time. Winter in the midwest is kinda like that.

I just had an idea and now my brain hurts. Anyway... with the fire pot out you should be looking right at the hole/gate/bolt that is stuck. Using a propane torch, heat it up really good then try to back it out. It would be hard to heat from the back side but from the front it just might work.

I think I would soak it, heat from front, soak as cools alittle to draw in wd-40 and put hammer drill with hex on it to try and shake it loose with out hurting it
