I am in need of some help. I've got an older MT Vernon. There is no digital screen or anything. My stove wasn't working and sitting unused for a couple years. We've decided to try and get it up and running again. So we changed the thermal couple, the auger wouldn't work so I changed the snap disk #2 and got that working. Now everything seems to be firing great and running proper except the convection blower isn't turning on. I changed snap disk #1 thinking it might be that but even with a new one installed it's not running. I am going to try and pull it apart and vaccum it out today to see if it's just super dirty or something stuck in it. Other than that I don't know why it's not working. It was blowing before the whole thing stopped working. But that was cause of the thermal couple and the snap disk not cause the blower? Is there anything else that could be the issue? Could there be something else I could do before having to go get a new one?

Put power directly to the blower to be sure that is working. That would be the first place to start.

Well it seems to be working now. I cleaned it out. And it wasn't working. I played with the snap disk and jumped it. Cause it started working for a min then stopped. I changed out the snap disk to the new one. It was working right away, then stopped. I moved the connection a bit and it's working now. I don't know if it was just the cleaning or the connections or what but it's working now. I hope it keeps working. Thanks

Probably just bad connections, or sometimes if they sit too long without use, they seize up a little. Glad you got it figured out. Kap

Thanks. I'm glad it's working too but now it's short cycling. Turns on for 10 seconds and off for 10. I wish I knew what the heck I was doing lol

Try jumping the prongs on the #1 snap disc with a wire to see if it is bad. Just because it is new, doesn't mean it will work. Could be loose connections yet too. If the fan stays running with it jumped, these might be the culprits. Just remember you are working with live juice. Kap
