Most smoke leaks are exhaust pipe. You can check door seal with a dollar bill. Also hook vac switch up and when it won't feed, push on door for tighter seal to see if it starts feeding. Kap

I was sometimes getting a smoke smell as the burn area filled with smoke just prior to it going up in flames. It turned out to be a small leak in the exhaust piping connected to the combustion blower. That area is under positive pressure and will push out smoke. After it fires, then you have more draft from the heat and less pressure so the smell could go away. Make sure you have a CO monitor in your house just in case.

I poked a wire in the nipple of the auger, did not see or feel anything in there. You can smell a hint of smoke just as the pellets catch fire. Disappears fast, so I'm really not gonna worry about it for now. I will get a seal kit for the just in case (it does look a little worn). But for the last 2 days the auger starts to turn after you turn the stove on. Did not really do much maybe there was something in the auger nipple?? Thanks again guys!

Did you ever look up the drop tube to see if maybe you had a long pellet cross ways in the there?

I had cleaned and vaced the drop tube about 4 or 5 times. Nothing.

It started acting up again, now it would not feed at all. Pulled the insert right out to work on it. Time to check the vac switch, this has the older type. Pulled the whole assembly out, and took the switch off. Chunks off the bellows fell out. Held the switch down started to feed again!!
Now try and find the new type switch, called to places and everybody is still looking!

Well thought we had it fixed. It was running just as nice as could be then a loud click. No light on control box, replaced fuse. Nothing, back to the drawing board.

Better go get yourself a control box, sounds like you just let the magic smoke out of it

Do you know someone with a 3 speed box, you can borrow theirs to see if the box went? And make sure wires are not shorting out anywhere. And remember to always unplug stove before removing or installing a control box. If you need parts, pm me. Kap

Got a box this morning, dealer had to pull it out of a floor model. None left in stock. Checked wiring found nothing wrong. Plugged the box in and the stove took off. Running as of now (not bragging). Talking with the dealer, he said if you can get 2 years your lucky. Thinking of a way to maybe put a small fan on the control box to keep it cool. The last box cost me $150 this one was $225.
