Well I purchased a US Stove 8500 to replace my 7 year old Amaizablaze 7100 and what a difference. The 8500 is well built and no tubes to clean yea. The only problem is at the the setting of pr1 the house is 82 degrees. I have to find a way to slow this thing down, any ideas?

I am going to guess that the controls are similar to my 6500 to some degree and would think that you should be able to slow the feed rate down by going in and changing the feed rate per hour setting. Probably need to call and talk to a tech at USSC on how to do that unless someone here knows how to do it.

Sorry, that's my best guess.

I am interested to see how this model works out in the long run especially on how well they have everything sealed up as far as pulling soot into the room fan blower and blowing it around like mine and other USSC models did until we did some sealing that the factory didn't do!

Well talked to US stove, feed rate was 7.83 lbs per hour, now reset to 3 lbs per hour, lets see what happens tonight. Had to shut the stove down it was 89 degrees in the house.

Keep notes!!!! What you changed "from and to". Also is there a draft fan adjustment? If so you may need to play with that so the fire doesn't burn out or over flow. I doubt it will over flow setting the feed rate lower, but if the draft fan setting remains where it was burning at the higher feed rate it may get to much air and burn everything faster until not enough is left to keep the fire going.
Keep Notes!!!!!
Let us know how it works out please.

If it works I will post the codes to get into the feed rate and draft fan.

Update......

Changed the pr-1, C-1 setting to 3.00 lbs per hour, also changed the pr-5, C-3 (highest heat range) to 7.00. Also installed the us stove cold air return on the back of the stove and it's 78 degrees in the house. This is a great stove, much better than the Amaizablaze 7100. This week might go below zero at night can't wait to see this stove work.

How do you like NOT being able to see the how the fire is burning with the solid door on the 8500? Seems like that would drive me nuts not being able to see how it's burning.

Glad to hear it's working out good for you so far!

Drives me alittle nuts too, but nothing I can do. Weather says below zero tonight, the house is 81 right now and it feels good.

Sounds like it's working very well for you!

Were you considering any other furnaces beside this one, and if so what made you choose this one? I am going to be looking to upgrade before next winter and am curious to see how this unit keeps working for you.

Thanks for any input you may have, now or in the future.

Out of curiosity, where are you located, and how big of an area are you heating?
