I recently purchased a used 6039 pellet stove. Tired of the mess of wood and a friend has a 6041 and is heating his 2 story farm house. My question is why cant I heat my 1100 sq ft house with unit set on 9 burning wood pellets. It will only get upto around 65 my home and he heats his home upto 72 with his set at 3(his only goes to 5). This stove has the 4 button control panel. I have cleaned the room blower and checked the exhaust blower and installed the fresh air intake. My air output temp is around 180 with unit running on 9. If I manually add more pellets by holding in the on button the output temp will go upto 200+. Is there a way to make the auger add pellets faster? My friend runs his stove on 2 or 3 and heats his whole house using same pellets. His stove only goes upto 5, mine goes upto 9. Its been between 20 and 30 degrees outside seems like from what I read this stove should have no problem heating my home. I will only use a bag of pellets every 12 hours running on 9. Hope someone can help or its back to wood for me. Love the stove if I could heat my house. Thanx Rosco6039

Sounds like you feed rates are set to low. First step is to push Aux Up and Aux Down at the same time and hold for 3 seconds this will reset the stove to factory settings.

To check your feed rates:
HR and AUX up will show upper limit default is 6.00
HR and Aux down will show lower limit. default is 2.00
Press ON to save after changing limit.
Press AUX up and down to reset stove to defaults.

Check you feed rates and let us know what they are.If you are truly burning a bag every 12 hours on 9 your top feed rate is around 3.33 way to low. The only two rates you have to adjust is bottom and top the rest adjust according to those two settings. If you check before you do the factory reset let us know what the settings were then do the factory reset and let us know if they changed.

I can't get the settings to come up. Held buttons in and nothing. Really want this to work. Good thing I didn't get rid of wood stove right away. All buttons seem to work but can't get settings up.

It is hard to push both hr up and aux up or hr down and aux down at the same time it took me about 10 tries to get the up and 17 times to get the down. Factory reset should work. Give it about a hour of burning to see if it is running right.

This is from firepotpete in different thread:

You can change the feed rate, that will turn the auger more or less times per minute. If you push the HR down button and AUX down button at the same time you will see the setting for the lowest feed rate, it should be 2.0pph if the board is at the factory default.
While that number is showing you can push the AUX down button by itself and the number will go down, that will change your lowest feed rate so that you use less fuel. Then you need to push "ON" for the new setting to be set. You will need to push "ON" after any adjustment to take place.
You may also need to adjust the high feed rate lower. Just push the HR up button and AUX up button at the same time and then AUX down to bring the high feed rate down.
Note before you adjust anything what the setting were before you adjust them.

AC has you on the right track, the only thing I can add is which dashes are blinking? If the previous owner used a thermostat on the stove then maybe the jumper on the board is removed and even thou you are setting the HR rate at 9 the board is looking for the thermostat and won't run on 9. If the jumper is missing you will need to replace it before the board will adjust manually.

That is why firepotpete is better than I am, never thought about someone having the jumper removed. The back of your control panel should look the same as this, the jumper needs to be in place if you do not have a thermostat hook up.

Ha, Bluewolf and Flip tipped me off on that years ago. My stove wouldn't heat good. I'd bump up the HR and noticed it wasn't using any more corn than before. Some day that will be someone else problem so I keep throwing it out there.

My stove was right from the factory and missing the jumper. Maybe the stove rosco got from the previous owner had the same problem and sold the stove without checking here first.

Anyway it's either the feed rates or the jumper, we will get him up and heating I'll bet.

Nice find on the pics of the board AC, I looked around a little and couldn't find them.

Let us know rosco how and what you find, OK?
