Hows every ones 1020 running this year This year I been running a mix of Buckwheat, white wheat that a friend that was contaminated with garlic and biomass pellets been working flawlessly.

Mine is Not... We are in Florida and have the Air on.. too hot....

This better not jinx me! My 1020 has been running great.

Two flame outs this season, both as a result of leaving the slide valve closed on the bottom of the bin. First one was my son's (while I was traveling). Second time was all me. I am starting to think I may need to institute a tag out procedure, where I clip the operator to the slide valve with a lanyard, that won't allow them to walk away, with the slide valve closed.

I have been burning approx 5% pellets mixed into corn this year with good results.

My last fill I have a larger percentage of Buckwheat. It burns great just have to clean the ash out more often

Just rebuilt my chimney box on the back of my stove this past week used Hay baler chamber doubled up the channel and use a 1' piece of sch.40 steel pipe then slipped a sch.40 pvc coupler and then a 10' piece of sch40 pvc pipe to extend above the bin. last year i extended the previous pipe with pvc and worked great. I built a slide gate on the bottom instead of having an open pipe at the bottom of the box which allows cold air to enter and condensate to cause more corrosion. open the gate when i clean the exhaust tubes then close it up,
