Does anyone out there have a central boiler outdoor woodstove that is dual fuel ready?

Central boiler offered a cornburning insert for the outdoor woodstoves at one time. I do not see this option listed on their website anymore.

Just wondering if anyone had one of these or knew anything about them. My brother has one of the dual fuel ready stoves and is looking for the cornburner insert.

dual fuel = dual drama

Always some sort of head stand required to switch so automatic fail over impossible

Do you have a hydronic system in the house now? Traditional fuel boiler yet in place? Build a two boiler system for fault tolerance and redundant protection.

The woodstove has been installed for 3 years now and has just been burning wood but it is a dual fuel ready stove.

When I bought the stove there was an option at the time for a corn burning insert, but it was an extra $1000 or something like that.

I would like to try to find that insert so I can just burn corn in it.

The house just has a radiator in the forced air fuel oil furnace.

I'm using the dual fuel system. Dual trouble??? nooo. Heating about 8000sqf. shop and house and avg. 5 bushels. It takes a couple of min to change, take the stirrer out, lift lever, pull pin. done. We use it a primary heatsource with no backup so being able to use to different things sounds better to me. First year we had some problems with the firestar, needed 2 units until it finally worked, so we were on wood for a couple of months cause CB were not shipping to Canada
cause of parts shortage:dry: now she works like a charm. This year we burned beanstraw until end of Nov. before switching over to corn, cheap, cheap, I have some more for the spring and also a couple of hundred seed skids form my seedsupplyer. That should help keep the costs down a little.
cheers, Andy
