im sure this has been asked before, on my gas bill it has cost per
"ccf", i was wondering if there was a calculator somewhere to convert to bushels?

im gonna go with the Lincoln from st croix, and place it in a room that has a vaulted ceiling with the return air at the peak also, should be a good set up. any thoughts or comments? 1400sqft house, i probly used 180ccf last year but didnt use the furnace, i used a ventless in my bedroom,

cost of nat gas here is only .71 cents, so every calculator im trying is telling me that if i use corn ill pay double for heating my home,but i do want to heat with corn, its 7 a bushel here!

300ccf= 307 therms =217$
thats bout 80 bushels ill need =560$

it has to get up to 2$ for justifying a corn stove, i just talked to my gas coop and was told the previous owners had a 270$ bill in jan, there could be a post started where everyone posts their gas prices and the city,

or i could buy pellets for 175 a ton from "ozark hardwood"

If your stove can burn straight pellets, then makes sense to buy the cheepest fuel. We have a comercial building, and we pay almost twice as much to heat than residential. I could burn $8 corn and still save almost a $1000 a heating season.
