Hello, I am a beginner and am using wood pellets in my stove for the first year. I have an air kit on my unit. We are currently using PA Pellets (not sure if this matters). I have a direct vent on my unit which is a mostly vertical. One of my issues is that my blower only blows heat for about 5 sec. and then stops for about 20-30 sec. and then blows again. I have a coal-trol thermostat which is set at Min. 8 and Max 99, it is cold here in PA today. What can I do to make my blower stay on longer? I am only getting about 69 degrees in my house. My house is 5 years old so it should be pretty well insulated. My unit is the smallest unit LMF sells (can't remember the BTU's). My house is 1500 sq.foot. The buner is very full. I read on the site about the thermal disks in my blower. The furnace is about 3 years old. Are the disks something I should consider messing with or is there something else that I should try first? Thank you!

Greetings, I have the same furnace, LMF 100k, bu I do not have any experience with the corn troll or the direct vent. However, it sounds like your fan control temperature settings may not be right. Has it always operated like this? If not then it could be possible that the fan control went bad. BTW, the fan control is located on the outside of the unit near the top. It is a silver box with a plunger switch and it probably says honeywell on it. The cover will pull straight off. Underneath you will find a dial with three pointers. Be very careful when making adjustments that the dial stays in the same place and just the pointers move. I have adjusted mine in the past but don't recall what I am set at but I would guess something like 100 for left most pointer, 140 for the middle pointer and 210 for the right most pointer. Remember I am just guessing here on the temperature settings but it should give you an idea. Basically what the temperatures mean is your furnace fan will come on when the air in the plenum is 140 degrees and run till it reaches 100 degrees. The 210 degree setting is a safety shut down of sorts. If your unit is running extremely hot it would safely shut down at this point. I hope this helps. Next time I go down in the basement I will check my temperature settings for you.

I want to make sure that I am looking at the right thing. I didn't see anything that says Honeywell on my stove. See pics below. Is this what you are referring to that has the thermal disks? Yes, the stove has always worked like this, until I started reading this forum, I didn't really know that it was a problem. However, I have had problems getting a high temp in my house so I thought I might jink with a few things. Thanks again.

Well, I am not sure what that unit is. This is similar to what I was talking about. www.americanhvacparts.com/Merchant2/merc...duct_Code=FLT64B2210

Do you have one of these?

No, I don't have one of these on my furnace. I guess that is why I am confused. Thanks for your help!

No problem, sorry I couldn't point you in the right direction. I've been burning with my LMF furnace since '05 and have a really good understanding of it but I am sure they have changed some things over the years, namely the corn troll, which might be where your issue lies. Maybe check with your dealer or LMF directly.
