Subject: Thinking about buying a new stove. - by: pipelayer

I have a Countryside now and thinking of getting a Fahrenheit stove. I have the countryside upstairs and I am finishing the basement now. I would rather tend to one stove than two. Anyone hear of any bad things from these machines. I stopped by my dealer looking the new stove over and was amazed by how cool the exhaust was along with all the bells and whistles.

This is my first multifuel stove. Right now I'm only burning wood pellets, is it really worth the extra money to burn corn. I can buy a 40lb of wood pelles for 4.50 and a 50lb of corn is 9 dollars. Is it worth paying double for the extra 10lbs of corn.

Subject: Many Questions - by: j_s_berg

Hello,

My stove is a englander corn model 10-CDV, and I have a many questions.

1. Will it hurt the stove to leave it in corn mode when burning pellets
2. Is it ok to mix corn with wood pellets
3. Will the bottom three button settings vary when burning straight corn or pellets (Low fuel feed, Low Burn Air, and Air on Temp)
4. What are the factory sugested settings for the bottom three buttons
5. What exactly happens when the low burn air is changed
6. How often do the ports behind the brick fiber board need cleaned, and what is the best way
7. Is it possible for the fire to travel through the auger and into the hopper

Thanks for any info/hints and suggestions
