you can also go 80 on the interstate until you get pinched

or you can haul a ton on a truck with a B class plate - until so savvy trooper decides to make an example of you.

well I'm surely not going to 80 on the interstate with that truck loader or not loaded.

and as far as being stop for having a oversized load in the back of my pickup..........well I could also win the lottery about the same odds

My old 94 Ford Ranger 4X4 w/off road package would do just fine with a 1/2 ton of pellets in the back, could only hold 3/4 of a ton of corn.

Now my 99 F350 single axle 4X4 w/off road package, when I got corn the first time this season, did know the test weight was 60#, so a bed load weighted 3640#. Drove like a cadilac.

Yep the brakes are not made for a ton load, keep 2X distance. I am always on side roads. My take is if you load up the truck and the suspension (springs) or bolts do not fail chances is they will not. I wonder if that red triangle for slow moving farm tractor or trailer. W/Stick I always down shift if I come up on a car too fast if necessary.

Looks like its holding the load good to me. But I carried 3000# with my old Toyota T100 pickup all the time so maybe I'm not the one to ask... I treat my trucks like a mule.

+1 on the T100. Mine has an 8' bed and my usual shelled corn loads weigh out around 2500 pounds. Have had one load a bit over 2800. Yeah you have to take it easy on the road, but its really not that bad.

Have hauled 2 ton loads on my 2000 Dodge 2500 V-10 would not want anymore on it handled fine but def. would not want to go thru. a scale check.Lic. for 10,000 but I know I was over the limit. Truck weights 6500lbs empty no passengers. We used to have an old 1980 Dodge dually one ton beefed up springs constantly hauled 5+ ton handled fine.
If it's biomass and I can get it thru my stove I'll burn it.4rth yr burning with a Pinnacle Emerald and 3rd yr 1020 American Royal Biomass boiler.Wife loves the heat.
