Neighbor got 1 and best description is at best a fancy personal heater. Craigslist in MN has piles of them for sale if you can judge by how many people are reselling. I have a microthermic flat panel in bath and I cannot feel any difference between it(70$) and the fancy box. Good luck

A 1500 watt heater is a 1500 watt heater whether you pay $20.00 for it or $300.00.
If your going to give someone a piece of your mind, make sure you can live with what you have left.

IF you have free electricity they are great! Like he said a 1500 watt heater is just that no matter the box it comes in. I can't believe that Bob Villa actually endorses one, makes me not trust anything he recommends.
Plug in a toaster and put it where you want, use a vise grip to hold down the lever, you'll have just about the same thing and can still use it to make toast.

1500 watts about 5200btus if memory serves and local electric rate is 12cents/Kw so running full bore would be 18 cents per hour? I like my bun warmer but it does not run but max 15min per shower.

Small area, radiant heat, short period of time in a room that you don't need 70 degrees all the time, yup, I'd agree. We have the same as you do Bio in our bathroom.
My previous post was geared more towards people buying large units to warm their house or even a large room full time. Better off getting a liquid type radiator and a small fan to move the air around.

If you are referring to an electric heater, then I have an small, inexpensive infrared heater. With the biomass stove at the opposite end of the house, the bath can be a bit cool at 5 am. I am pleased with this radiant heater.
