I want to thank all of you for helping me get through last season, after a rough start Nogas and a few others managed to keep me out of trouble and warm at the same time.
I am using the JDL Amazing heat 620-9 burning wood pellets and just want make sure I am prepeared for the first fire up which will be here soon.

I have everything as clean as I can get it, Chimney seems clean, stove pipe is all good everything was vacumed.
The only thing that concerns me is that there seems to be what looks like black glass stuck to the bottem sides of the burn pot. I think this is left over from the previous owner using corn, it doesn't seem to affect the auger or feeding so I will leave it alone if its ok

I would like to get a couple of spare auger motors and a spare blower fan for the fire box.
Is there anything I am missing here or need to check before I start it up.

Please Advise.

Welcome back Minights! Hope you and your had a good summer. Sounds like your good to go with the first fire. You can get spare motors for Grainger and other supply houses, but LDJ has a better version for around the same price on the auger motors. Never hurts to have a spare around, especially when it's cold and at the worst time ever is when they seem to go out.

Check your black pipe for any small pin holes. This pipe only lasts about 2 seasons. I have extended mine by spraying ceramic header paint and curing the pipe sections. I just inspected and there is only minimal rust around the seams. Spray them before you put them together. Hope you have a safe and warm burning season. Rob
