Burning pellets due to cost this year. Biggest downside for me is the smell. With corn I would occasionally get the aroma of burnt corn outside which I have grown to like. Now the occasional smell is the wood smell. Oh we'll.

Just think of it as the smell of money vs propane or gas. Always works for me!!!

The wood smell is a plus in my book
You can pour syrup on poop, but that don't make it pancakes.

I like to add a small amount of corn to the pellets as they seem to feed better and less bridging in the hopper. but its a expensive additive.

It does help just like u said. I just put in new exhaust so I am going to keep the corn corrosion out of it. The trade off works for me.

My neighbors all hate that smell and make no bones about it. It don't bother me.

I get enough scorched smell of corn when I nuke popcorn. The neighbors are jealous that they are giving lots of thier money to some big petrochemical company.
