As I recall - most of the "parts" were off the shelf but some components were certainly fabricated in their shop.

What are you looking for? Maybe folks can suggest other sources.

Thx Sting, looking for auger weldment and auger bearing. Can probable find the bearing but haven't come up with the spring auger flighting.
The outer auger heat sheld burned up exposing the auger tube to excess heat burning the fines in the tube and sticking them like brick whitch wore out the flighting over time till it broke.
Any ideas on repairing the outer heat sheld? It seems welded in place, not sure.
Thx Steve

The issue I see is sourcing just the amount of auger spring that you want - with out having to buy a whole stick

I am familiarize with the sizes you will need - I just recall the general apparatus

An idea -- good or bad ??? might be to take the parts in hand to a welding shop in your area and ask if they have something in stock for a quick fix.

May be a local stove shop has something laying around that could be fabricated into service.

Some or the SAR users should be around soon - I hope with better ideas

Was able to grind the good part of the filghting loose on the lower end of the shaft and move it out to the end for temp. fix.think it should work for awhile.found new bearing at local machine shop.
I've been online looking for the aurger weldment for several hours,no luck so far.
It's 1 1/2"outside with 7/8" shaft,and 1" between the spirals.Bout 1/4" thick.
Thx again,Steve

The temp. fix has been running fro over two weeks without any trouble.
Just thought I would keep this topic alive in case any SAR users come by.
Sure has been cold and wet(snow) here in southern Ky,only 8*above this morning.
