I know this isn't a major deal but was wondering if anyone ever ran into it. I've been using the programmable thermostat during the times when it's not as cold and so I can manage the pellet usage a little better. I programmed the AE thermostat mon-fri and the Sat-Sun but it didn't respond like I thought it should and basically the Full Week programming overrode the other programs that I entered.

Anyone experience this before and have any suggestions other than using the Full Week

do you remember what settings you used on the AE? At the sunflower setting with a -5 it was hot hot hot. Switched to wheat and that seemed to slow down the feed. You can almost see the oil helping the burn, this stuff is crazy!

Hey everyone, it's been awhile since I posted any questions, after three years we are still loving our stoves. Now I have an opportunity to burn soybeans in the mighty Mt. Vernon AE. Has anyone every tried beans and on what settings. I'm out of warranty so no worries with that!

hey there mark, I have a cornvac and use them for cleaning the wood pellets. Did corn the last few years and went to pellets because of the corn price. No problems except they move a little more slowly and they seem to ramp up the static electricity. Hope that helps.

Hey all, third year burning with the mighty Mt. Vernon. Burning pellets this year since corn went sky high, the pellets start up nicely and you don't lose much heating time, but boy they are dirty, I sure miss the corn. Anyway, I've been noticing that there is a ticking noise coming from the auger and its worse when its near empty and seems to get better the fuller the hopper. Anyone have this issue??

Got some sugar bags from a local wholesalers, holds a ton of sugar. I could put 2/3 of a bin wagon of corn in three bags on a skid in my basement. Worked great. Used a Cornvac and my shopvac to clean it. Very cheap storage. Also, when done they collapses and get out of the way. Getting wood pellets this year since corn is so expensive. FYI and good luck.
