When i took ff the side of the stove to inspect the daft fan..i could feel some air coming out of the top of it(thru the gasket, maybe?) This could be why my pellets keep piling up and it seems like i have to empty pot every hour. What type of gasket is under there? Anyone else ever have a similar problem? If i take the fan apart, how big of a deal is it to seal it?

Stove had been running great. I let it shut down and re-started it and you guessed it. That damn draft light(see other thread). Anyways i took off side panel and must've banged circuit board a lil. Blown the main fuse. Replaced fuse and up and running. Remember to unplug your stove when messing with it!

Fixed now and running great. Thanks guys!

Actually shut down the stove last night because when the light's on it cause it not to feed. I have no idea of the cause. I don't have a fresh air intake. Seems when i adjust the slide it affects it..any ideas? it's not on constantly now but periodically flashes and doesn't seem to matter whether its auto or manual...I'd love to just bypass the damn thing...

Yea i'm gonna go back to auto and play with that a bit. Good point, firepot.I dont have a fork like thing in the pot. Only a few times has my ash caked up enough to do it. My method is when the pot gets full, ive been taking a table spoon and shoveling it out trying to get the clumps of stuff on bottom out. Leaving just enough in to keep fire going.

Good cleaning made a world of difference. My pipe didn't seem bad at all. Inside of stove was pretty bad though. Ash pan was full, i cleaned out the cleanouts. started it back up and already notice a huge difference. exhaust fan seems fine and yea it runs at 9 steady on manual. I went from auto to manual to get more air to the pot. Honestly think the biggest problem was neglect of cleaning:blush: Thanks again!!!!

Pretty sure on manual you use slide to control draft...im thinkin your right bout cleaning, gonna do that today. My motor on stirrer died...i miss it, lol. It does take a few hrs to fill. im vented straight out. I dont hear exhaust fan, but not sure about it. It's about half and half as fas as unburnt pellets, prolly more unburnt then ash. Im gonna start with a clean out and get back to ya. thank you very much

I'm running my 6039 on manual using the draft slide to control the air to the pot. No stirrer, factory pot. Instead of getting the cake, everyone talks about my pot just over flows with pellets and I have to spoon out pellets...i have slide almost all the way out and only running it at hr-2.

All depends on how much your time is worth when it comes to burning wood. I have two girls 5 and 3, so you can see where my time is spent:) . Tht and i figure they won't be able to wield a chainsaw until there at least 10:woohoo:

it's been a mild winter in pa weather wise. The Stirrer motor went in december, so I had to learn how to burn clinker style. It def has its plus and minuses. I think Im gonna go with the FAK for next winter. Is there anything i can do to extend the life of my auger motor? Gonna replace the rope around the door also. Any other suggestions?
