I found the solution to the problem. Something I never imagined. I emailed Harman direct a few days ago and kind of glossed over their reply. They listed 5 different possibilities I ruled them all out except for the circuit board or the POLARITY. Last ditch effort I plugged it into an extension cord and tried a different outlet and it worked perfectly. I didn't think that polarity would be an issue Ive used that same outlet for other things, I had an Auburn St Croix plugged into that outlet for 2 winters without any trouble. Anyway I appreciate everyones replies to help figure it out. This is the only issue Ive had with the Harman. Its been great otherwise.

the exhaust run is the same with the addition of 5 ft vertical added. i replaced room sensor and esp probe, it didnt fix the problem. i dont get any blink errors at all. status light apppears to stay on constantly. i get plenty of pellets feeding in for startup, after that initial feed and decent fire the amount of feed is just barely enough at all settings,it appears to go out for a sec then just enough feed to keep a flame again. distribution fan never comes on. everything works in test mode. Same scenario in room temp mode and stove temp mode. i assume new circuit board is the next try?? Draft reading are also fine.

First season the pc45 worked fine, more fuel usage than i was use to but plenty of heat. This winter it worked fine until i moved the stove to the basment. All motors work in test mode. When I turn it to room temp, no matter what setting it does its startup as it should, once that inital feed of pellets are burned up the fire dwindles down to almost nothing even with the feed rate turned up to 6. Room sensor seems ok, if i unhook it i get the 4 blink error, plug it back in the 4 blink error goes away. It never runs long enough so the distribution fan never comes on. Could this possibly be an esp probe problem? I cleaned it and put it back in but nothing changed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I have a low feed rate and ordered replacement parts for the auger system. One of the parts is called "auger washer". Ive had my auger out a couple weeks ago when I replaced the auger motor. I did not have a "washer" anywhere. Its a 2001 model. Consists of the auger motor attached to the auger shaft ..going though the flanged bushing at the bottom. I know top of the auger slides into a bushing too, but it did not come out when i pulled the auger shaft out. My questions is where is this "washer" suppose to be located?? If anyone has pictures or can explain where this washer is suppose to go I would appreciate it. I couldnt find anything on google search. I bought this stove new and know it has never been apart before so it has never had this "washer".

Thanks Jammer. i did drill the holes on either side, gave it a good cleaning last week. Its still not as good as it was before, still have to believe it wont be until I get the feed rate corrected. its quite a bit short on dropping kernels. i have it set on a 10 second cycle instead of the 11.5 sec cycle, as a temporary fix. Still waiting on all the auger replacement parts from st croix.

Thanks Tommy I will try that. I had the auger all the way out but the top bushing didnt come out with it. Its a first year stove and fist time the auger has been out. That sounds like a good place to check next.

im not sure of the test weight. its average shape and size. up to 25% short on feed rate. Same corn i was burning before, it was kind of a sudden change from working well to being a week fire. Ive tried everything I can think of I guess it time to junk it.

Does anyone have any idea why my Auburn would be 15 to 25% short on the feed rate. I get 3.6 lb/hr on level 5 with corn, the spec sheet says should be 4.25 lb/hr. i looked into this after she suddenly started to produce a weak fire. My first thought was not enough corn dropping in, measuring it confirmed it. First thing I tried was a new auger motor but I get the same results. i did check the old and the new motor and both were running at 2 rpm. second thing I checked was the timing..the auger on off time. It seems to be fine if its off its by unmeasurable tenths of seconds but I dont see how that would suddenly happen anyway. Im at a loss I jumped the vac switch and the proof of fire last night after a warm up of 20 minutes I started a timer for 2 hours on level 5 I should have got 8.5 lbs in that time( plus minus 10%). Actual corn that went through was 6.6 pounds. If my math is correct that is 22% too low. I have numerous dealers stumped. Anybody have any ideas? Set screw on the collar is tight so the auger is turning as it should, no obstruction in the auger, i had it out and back in. confirmed 2 rpm. Control board is fine. This is a first year Auburn 2001 or 2002, i ordered a new auger shaft. I cant imagine it would wear down from 10 years of corn friction, but its the last thing I can thing of to try. Side note. I replaced the auger motor but turned out the auger motor was fine, so all 3 motors are still the original motors. Impressive.

Does anyone have as many control boards go bad as I do i assume its a common problem with the St Croix Auburn. I just ordered one and it was bad so sending it back for another. i think they are highly sensitive to movement. This will be my 5th board. I have a working board right now. The new one I got as a spare does the same as an old one that went bad. No auger cycling just continually runs. I assume its the auger relay on the board thats the weak spot. I thought maybe it had to do with my homes wiring or service but that theory went out when it has occurred at 3 different residences and 2 different stove. Most recent on my grandmothers stove where the board will only run on idle no matter what heat setting is selected. Its only 1 year old. Happens with either with thermostat or jumper wired. With my working board it works normally so it is once again a bad control board. does anyone know where to get them cheap or better yet if they can be traded in or repaired. A new control board every year Im not saving any $$ buy burning corn/pellets. Hope eventemp can straighten out their boards. Thanks to anyone with info.
