Seems my ash burn pot has been really stacking up! Pellets used make a difference of course, but lately it seems out of control, augger seems to be working? But I wonder if it's working 100% ? Last time I tore it down & cleaned- they were in good shape. Is there anything that could/would be sporadic in it's running correctly? keith in kansas

I keep mine on level 3 about 70% of the time,4 gets kind of loud & 5 COOKS! As far as the motor noise, I had seen something about a GROUND WIRE one could attach & ground the motor with which cuts down on -feedback?- noise?- somehow someway?
I adjust air for different pellets now, had been burning PINE & got OAK this year & found I had to kick-up the air supply too keep from makeing charcoal! Thanks to a reply I got here, old site. Anyway glad to hear the input!

After having the trouble with auger feed, (fixed now) noticed that the motor does not seem to be attached in any way but to the shaft? While turning the auger manualy it seems to just hit the back of the enclosure one way & a bracket the other? Swings about 60 deg. Is this the norm?

Also the auger motor seems to make a LOT less noise! I had read some other topics about GROUNDING THE MOTOR to quiet it down? Not sure how that works?

My feed auger stopped last night, upon inspection I found a hanging YELLOW LEAD- I assume this is the correct lead but want to hear from a Pro! if possible.

Also thinking of buying a AUGER MOTOR to have on hand for future need, if any
dealer out there out can get me a cost W/shipping in US 67502..

And.. a while back asked about Helic Gage reading at levels 1-5, got a reply from
other sources..
