dumb question but do you have your slide swithc in thermostat mode or did it get bumped? and what kind of tstat is it?

any time. good luck with it! and remember not all pellets are created equal!!

its a saftey feature more than anything. if you forget to change the clinker with corn it will just smother its self out. if you forget with pellets it can possibley build up and back up the feed chute and lead to a hopper fire. with the sides removed and you forget to drop the clinker the excess pellet will just spill over the sides into the ash pan causing the POF to drop out and stop feeding pellets.

just get the new pot with the removeable sides and put the air to about 90% shut
