Have read on several posts to take off the vacuum hose, blow it out and reattach or replace if necessary.

Where is it on USSC Model 6500 and how do I get to it?

Adjusted C2 and C3 codes.
When increase to PR-2 blinks for about 1 minute and stops so I am to assume is increasing heat however only a 2 degree difference from Pr-1 to Pr-2

We DO NOT have a thermostat but read this on the forum 'Another thing is did the previous owner of the stove use a thermostat hooked up to it? If they did and you are not using one then you will have to replace the jumper on the control board so that you can control the stove from the board, otherwise the setting will not actually change even though the boards numbers will change. The stove will just run on one setting if the jumper isn't installed.'

HOW do we check this?

return air question

I am not as computer savvy as some so the link above was over my head.

I think all the information in the old forum will come in handy at some point so would like to copy most or all in order to reference. ESPECIALLY all articles pertaining to USSC Model 6500

Can I copy to a flash drive?

Manual says 3ft. Don't mind a little waste if the correct gasket. Ordered from USSC is a little too long. But looks like the right kind.

I agree, it seems like EVERY TIME I call them they do not listen.
When they can't come up with an answer that I will buy then try to blame everything on not having the "return air"
We also leave our door ajar and seems to work fine.We DO have the damper so they can not blame everything on that.
Do you burn pellets? If so how many a day?
I have tried to get the Model 6500 C codes from tech but the told me NO.

Does the window gasket go ALL the way around the window?
The manual shows only TOP and sides? Is the bottom left open for air wash?
Haven't taken the old one off but want to order correct amount.

Also, do you buy yours from USSC and wait for delivery or can buy at a local TSC or Rural King, Loewes etc?

Do I have what hooked up to my duct work?
I have return air on my backup electric furnace.
Do we need to build a box to the back of the 6500 where the filter is and hook that into our cold air return on the electric furnace?
Isn't that a pain to dismantle and do a thorough cleaning or maintenance.

Did I see a picture on this forum that showed a box on the back of the furnace where the filter goes?

What is the "return air"?

I was told by USSC after they reviewed pictures of my installation I need a "back draft damper" (which they have the picture showing is installed) and "return air"

What needs to be done to have "return air" and what does it do?

Manual says outside air is not required but "return air make-up IS required. Is that where the filter goes?

Did I see a picture on this forum that showed a box on the back of the furnace where the filter goes? Does anyone remember seeing or have I totally lost it?

Please Model 6500 owners I need your help!!

I see you have a cr-5 but I can't find a pr-5 should I have?
Mine seems to only go PR-1 PR-2 & PR-3. Or does it go higher and I don't know where to find?

I have had an Err 2 and did the trouble shooting EXCEPT "Electrical Open in low temperature switch or wiring"

Where in the world to I find information to access this I have read the manual and no where can I see.

Also if the fire goes out (which mine has on PR-1 with HIGH 5 LBS/LOW 2LBS manual says to "Check the pressure switch connected to the firebox" I looked on the schematics but do not have any idea how to access. Do I have to take the cover off of the circuit board? Or is this the switch that is on the hopper lid?

Sorry if my ??? seems elementary

Bone,
When you figure out your settings will you share them with me?

You seem to be the only other 6500 owner besides me:)

We burn pellets only so I know some things will be different.
