Thats fine -- just don't let the fires tubes remain dirty - when you shut it off - if you don't plan to immediately bring the vessel back up to temperature - clean it and treat it like you would for a seasonal shutdown.

Brose down a bit and you will find a series of books that I recommend you find and read - you will no longer be "challenged" and in a far better position to make a choice of both system refurbish and you will also be able to weed out the good and bad advice and [professional ?] assistance!
Kind Regards

Corns been way too expensive to burn for years. Last year, natural gas was cheaper to burn then pellets. Don't look to be that way this year.
The national average cost per them of NG energy is down again over last year.
Just a minor amount - but it isn't more expensive. What may have been misconstrued - is that the heating season degree day load this year is going to be average - vs last years load was well below average
so folks say -- OH its going to cost more!
Think about it

No need to hide the timer -- at one time I had more timers icecube and recycling relays on my corn contraptions than most of the community here -- combined

So Sting, does this tell us the main board is bad, or something else entirely?

accckkkkkk
if this is a used appliance -- it could have purple with green striped wire
There are only TWO yellow wires off the BACK of the primary control and you have to LIFT it out of its box to get a purchase on these two yellow wires
ignore the yellow wires on the right or the ones on the left or the yellow wires in the closet behind your wife's shoes
focus --- remove the screws on the primary control face -- lift the primary control out of its enclosure -- and pick the only two yellow wires off it and only the two directly off of it - wire them together and you will have hi fire IF and I write again IF the rest of the system is wired according to diagram All other snap switches apparently are functioning or bypassed because you have an idle fire
for a wiring diagram click the WIKI tab above and search for Wiring Information on the Traeger
all my Primary controls are sold off on ebay so no pictures
HEY JA -- how about helping out here = yours is apart -- take a picture of the control back and post it here to show the wires necessary to make this work!!

the point was - as with any advice - COVER YOUR(MY)A$$ when telling folks to fiddle with things when you do not have the whole picture.
As always...... I tend to do that with just a pinch too much zeal!
OK -- I am going to go lay by my dish again, or someone might give me more negative Karma
