I am burning pellets this winter. Got 4 ton sitting in the polebarn. But I sure do miss corn.

I'm still burning. Just pellets, not corn. I much prefer corn but can't afford it at $320/ton. I'm hoping corn prices drop.

Thanks for the imput. I was just curious if there was any new manufacturers making a improved version of chimney pipe.

I've been running mine for maybe a hour or two in the mornings. I've got about half a bag of pelletds left, then I'm done for the year.

I burnt the last of my corn last night. I still got 1.5 tons of pellets so thats what I'll finish out the heating season on.

I've been using my Baby to heat my 30yr old drafty double wide. It's roughly 960sq/ft. The main problem I've had is moving the heat to all the rooms.
Alot is going to depend on how well insulated your house is.

Central Michigan. The snow is hitting us pretty good now. They are calling for 8 to 12 inches by morning.

18" of snow according to the local weatherman(and he wouldn't lie ). 4 to 5 degrees tonite.

driveway is all cleared out. 4X4's got a two track made down the county road. Still got power and corn to burn.

I got a chance to pick up a couple/three tons of pellets at a cheap price.
Problem is, there's no way I will be able to burn them all this year.

Can I store them until next year? Or will they turn back into sawdust?
Anything special I need to do to keep them?

We got about a foot of snow. Maybee more. The winds still blowing hard and the snow is still coming down.

My boy is outside snowblowing the driveway. Not sure how much good thats going to do. I haven't seen a car go down my road yet this morning.
