AFTER THE PROBLEMS WE HAD WITH STOVE, AND I DIDN'T GET TO FINISH STUDYING EVERYTHING YOU GUYS GAVE ME BEFORE, BECAUSE I CAME DOWN WITH THE FLU, AND AM JUST GETTING BK ON MY FEET, HUBBY WENT A LITTLE FARTHER THAN WE USUSALLY DO TO GET SOME DIFFERENT PELLETS. WE HAVE BEEN USEING LIGNETICE FOR AWHILE, BUT BOUGHT SOME TURMAN HARDWOOD JUST TO TRY. THE DIFFERENCE IN PRICE IS WORTH THE GREAT DIFFERENCE IN THE PERFORMANCE .
RIGHT NOW HE IS MIXING ABOUT 60% TURMAN TO 40% LIGNETICES TO USE UP THE LIGNETICE PELLETS WE HAD LEFT. SO FAR SO GOOD.
JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW HOW THE STOVE IS WORKING.
TO BE HONEST, I HAVE BEEN SO SICK , AS LONG AS THERE WAS HEAT, I COULDN'T EVEN LOOK AT THE STOVE.

My laptop i used for the bixby died but i do have a newer one i want to put the wiki program into. Can you steer me in the right direction of how to do this. Can i download it to the new laptop directly. and then hook laptop to the stove?

wow, i have a lot of study to do. lol we just cleaned this the other day. and cleaned the holes. got new gasket under the burn plate and did use that high temp gookey stuff on that. right now flame looks good i am tired and going to bed. will check out the rest of this stuff tom. thanks to you both for input. and hope all this also helps others with the bixby God Bless.

heat level is on 8 not 6 so does that mean the tc is way low for thatlevel? and just to make sure i am understanding tc is themocouple right? no wind, but my flame is down again. pipeing? we have it going straight out the wall and no not useing the cap from bixby we have a elbow on it . We originally, had pipeing going up thru ceiling and roof. with that bixby cap on top. the thing rusted and i was't going to invest that much money again, so we capped off that hole, and made one out the side. we do however have the bixby pipeing for that.
also we are useing lignetics. we had tried several types, and this is the best one we have found in the area. they are less than a inch in length. and we have been sifting them per blume's advice. however still do get some residue with them anyway. tom. i will get hubby to do the wheel.

since i posted 7 1/2 hrs ago. this is what happened.
hubby went + on feed. ( I am not sure where it was) right now knob settings are fan -1 1/2 and feed + 2 1/2 OR PRETTY close, (hubby has ended up sick and laying down) I can't take this apart to check to see if it is lifted but if he is feeling better tom. I will try to get him to do that.
we have made no adjustments to the bix tables. It dumped at 10:16 this am we just had a dump. and I checked the tables for into just to be able to give it to you. (we have no wind at this time)

I have been reading in the link you left . I am printing some of the info out also. we have had no blinking lights. will watch the flame and bot . will come back later with updates. thanks again. since 8:30 am we have had the low flame situation. Even after the dump that occured in four hours after restarting the stove. and has continued to be low. with not much fuel in pot, I have been watching that. i have to say that in the couple days it had been running great we had good heat out of it. Hope it corrects.

NOT A LOT OF FUEL IN THE POT, HUBBY IS GOING TO TRY AND ADJUST THAT NOW, GIVING IT A LITTLE MORE FEED. IF NOT, TOLD HIM TO DROP LEVEL DOWN TO 6 AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. THANKS. I WILL CHECK OUT THE LINK ALSO.

JUST DUMPED AT 10:19 SO A LITTLE OVER FOURS HOURS AND IT DUMPED. IT JUST CONFUSES ME WHY IT CAN RUN FOR A COUPLE DAYS SO GOOD, AND THEN POOF. HAD A AWESOME FLAME ON 8 FOR A COUPLE DAYS, SINCE IT SHUT DOWN IN MIDDLE OF NIGHT, NOW FLAME THAT LOOKS LIKE IT MIGHT BE ON 3 OR 4 fURANCE KEEPS KICKING ON, SO THANK GOD FOR BACKUP. LOL

Been running the 115 on 8 all day. First time since we owned it we went higher than 6. But it is record cold. Bixchex says heat level four heat target 8. why would that be different?
Shouldn't heat level be 8 also? Just trying to understand all these setting better. Thanks for your input .

Thanks Corny, It was cleaned today. and has a new filter. I could feel and hear the difference immediately. I knew we had made that change awhile ago, but forgot where and how to do it. . she is blowing now. I appreciate the help. I am not good understanding the bix check. So I have to bug you guys for your knowledge. Thanks again. I wrote those numbers down and will keep it close. the setting was TC@25%= 50 and tc 100% fan = 170.

been running the 115 without the computer. However, we hooked it bk up. My ? is .... is there a way to get the confection fan to blow more. The tele says 77% but we have stove set on 5 and we don't seem to be getting a lot from the fan blowing out into the room. I hope I am explaining this right. thanks for any help. Just seems like it should be blowing more.

I kinda figured that it don't shut off for no reason jawquin, is weird, but had done it twice now, it has shut off with no blinking lights to indicate why. once last thursday was like that when i got bk from shopping, and in the middle of the night last night. go figure. It's haunted lol.

and after dumping at 9 am it dumped again at 7pm been on 4 all day. I figured it should be around 11 pm. but it's still burning, so not gonna worry how often it dumps. as long as it stays running for me, and keeps me warm. Unless I should be worried about it?

Any explaination why it would just shut off, (no power failure) and not go thru dump cycle? And NO BLINKING LIGHTS!

And another ? what is the red light on the mother board? Why does it blink?
Reason I ask is because. Got up at 4:30 stove off, restarted. Setting is at 4 . At 9 am it dumped, and the light on mother board was blinking. It did stop blinking.
We disconnected the computer, and have been trying to just adjust by knobs.
However, last Thursday same thing happened. Came home from shopping, and stove was off and no blinking lights. and no power failure either.

We are trying to run by knob ajustment only. not useing the computer.

Wtih them being out of business, I am assuming it will be hard to get parts etc. for this thing. I know right now you can get some, but eventually we won't be able too. We have a maxfire 115 had it since 08, Just think it will be wise to upgrade, and can't do that with Bixby.

while i am asking ?s on fan and feed numbers per levels, I don't understand why as you level up some of the settings on higher levels are less than lower levels. ex: on L1 fan is on 80 and on level five it is 79
and the feed on all levels is the same?
