2007 Greenfield. Good condition. I bought it from the original owner last fall. He was burning corn... I am burning pellets. I have found it's a better corn burner than pellet burner... I need a few more BTU's to heat my shop. $975.00 firm and I'm located in central Wisconsin. I can help with delivery within 150 miles of Waupaca, WI 54981. My dealer recommends even pellet burners use the corn pot... my Greenfield does put out more heat with the corn pot but I don't think the feed rate can be set high enough to fill that big space.

I was thinking about buying some corn from a farmer/neighbor of mine but he now rents out his land so he no longer has a good supply. He DOES have a few hundred bushels laying around in one storage building but I really don't want the task of shoveling it, cleaning it, etc. I'm old and lazy....

My Greenfield stove runs fine with the damper almost closed...my pellet stove has been set to run with the damper open the width of a pencil and hasn't been moved is six years.

I've had trouble with this used stove since I bought it last fall...I finally changed the door and ash pan gaskets and it seems to have done the trick...

I finally got my Greenfield working better with pellets. I bought this used and the PO used corn... I'm a pellet guy so I tried it with little success until I replaced the door and ash pan gaskets and put the corn pot back in.

Now it's humming right along but it does not put out the same heat as my St. Croix Pepin pellet burner that I have in the house.

Stil, the heat is nice in a formerly cold shop!

It looks like I'm going to sell this Greenfield soon... my wife wants a prettier stove than the Pepin but she want's auto start and the versa-grate system so I may pull the trigger on a used Hastings that I found...

The stove has been running now for 24 hours.

I had to shut it down and do more cleaning behind the firebox this afternoon...and I found a torn/missing chunk of ash pan gasket so i fixed that, too.

The stove is on #5 just eating the hell out of my pellets... going to keep it going for a few days straight to see how it does. The shop is s-l-o-w-l-y warming up.....

Well I have the stove installed in my shop and it's been running all night.

I had some problems getting the fire to keep going at start-up but using more pellets and gel seemed to do the trick. I miss not having a variable speed fan rheostat like on my analog-board St Croix Pepin...

I'm heading out to the shop soon just to check on the stove... and to see how warm the shop is. the thermometer said 50F last night but I'm not certain the room was that warm...

Thanks for the help guys... I think one of the pots has the removable sides... I'll try that one first.

One fella over on hearth.com told me he doesn't think I will have good luck burning pellets in this corn stove... can't see why. I kinda think he has some issues with St Croix stoves as a whole...

This is my first post here... I used to be a regular lurker on the old site.

I recently purchased a 4 year old Greenfield stove (build date 5/06). The PO used it just for corn.

I got two burn pots with the stove but I don't know which to use for pellets. I will be using pellets with this stove as I also have Pepin.

The Pepin is now in the house... I plan on installing the Greenfield in the house with the Pepin going into my shop.

Can anyone tell me what pot to use with the pellets?
