No kap , its not running on # 1 setting.It even does it, when i have it on high.Can I have the blower running all the time while I have the wires jumped?

So do you think it might be the snap disk?

I jumped the snap disk, while the fan was of , but nothing happened.

I have a mt vernon stove , and the convection blower works on and of even when the stove is hot.It would blow air for about 3 or 4 min. then it would turn of.Then it turns back on.Could this be that i have a bad snap disk?

The old gasket is deteriorated bad,it did not make a complete seal..Yea i had a hard time with one bolt.

Hey kap, hello there , how are you?In order to change the gasket on a mt. vernon, do i have to pull the firepot completely out?What is the easiest way to do this.

Kap, after i put everything back together, i got the stove running again.So far its been running for about 45 minutes.So maybe a wire was loose on the vacuum switch?Anyway i want to thank you for all the help you have given me.Now i have more understanding on how this stove works, thanks to you, and to Balls of fire.

Kap i think i had turned the power off, and right after i had #1and 2 disks, and vacuum switch jumped, i turn the power back on.And no pellets dropped even for the initial start up.

No pellets dropped.The box is set at 1

Also i had the vacuum switch, #1 disk, and #2 disk jumped, and still the stove did not start up.It did not light up. Also, a blue light came on about 4 or 5 times in the control box during this operation.

Kap, yes the exhaust fan is running, and the convection fan stays running when i had jumped.I did jump the vacuum switch and #1disk,and i tried starting the stove but nothing happened. It did not light up.

I just ran the stove with #1 disk jumped while the stove was running, and it did the same thing again.It drops pellets for the initial start up, then it stops dropping pellets.

Hello there again kap.I am sorry about the confusion.Let me try again.Do you want me to have #1 disk jumped while the stove is running?I just had the stove running , but i did not have #1 disk jumped.Exhaust fan came on, when i turned the thermostat on.Green light came on,after that the red light came on.The flames were big,but the convection fan did not start. The only time it came on, was right after the flames were out.

I jumped #1 snap disk, and the fan did come on.Started the stove up, got good flames, and the convection fan came on, ran for about 20 seconds and it stopped
running.The flames went on good, until no more pellets would drop. Almost after the flames went out,i just had a real small flame, the fan came back on.
