just a fast thought can you turn the bolt either way clockwise or counterclock wise ihave had good luck turn bolts back and forth until they loosen

i have a snow flame made 1997 and it does not have a air adjustment screw. I read on a old corn forum that some one would send a private message on how to make and /or install one. I would like to know if this info is still available. with no adjuster I feel that too much air is going out the balance tube as i cannot run over #5 on fuel setting.

last saturday my wife called saying the stove would only stay burning on a setting of nine. i went home cleaned the stove no change cleaned stove very very well no change. tryied anything else i could think of . finally notice auger would only turn if pushed toward front of stove removed auger found that this auger was tackwelded to adapter adapter pressed on gearbox shaft no threaded conection i drilled a small 1/16" hole through the shaft and auger used paper clip wire for shear pin and now its works again.
this stove was made in 1997 and sold in 1999 dec of y2k and rarely ever used I wish to thank everyone here for there time and knowledge and apoligize for my poor typing (dumb me i took shop class in school)

i also run corn and find that erratic feed rate is usualy caused by by fines /dust grit ect in and around feed auger and tube i empty corn bin vacumn out around auger and firebox tube and restart

i have access to apox 3 ooo bushels of dried corn for fuel or feed price is $4.00 dollars per bushel ,the feed is 3 years old kept in clean dry corn bin burns well in my nesco snowflame jim wright 540 7484026
