Its a soapstone stove and it isn't supposed to be able to burn coal. I'm not sure if that's just to comply with emissions or if it might be hot enough to crack the stone or damage the grate..

After a few more articles, this mght not work
It looks like the oil content in the corn could cause buildup inside the stove.
Maybe the 2nd stage air would help but I haven't found any information on it.
I need to figure this out before its too late to plant...

I have a newer primary and secondary air type woodstove (non cat) and I'd like to find out if ear corn might cause damage to the stove or flue. I've read that the ash is corrosive but the article didn't compare it to wood ash. If its an option that would sure save me a lot of time..
