As another heating season winds down Id like to thank each and everyone of you who has hlped keep my junk stove (Bixby) running without you Id have thrown in the towel long ago ! After just one year with my Harman and no issues no nothing I can truely say Im done with the Bixby I will continue to follow you guys but thats about it ! Have fun and again thanks !

The turmans are the best money can buy even better than Cubex Here in maine I can not get turmans closest place is Conn

here in Maine for 5/6 years Corn was cheap and the Main Reason i bought a Bixby it served me well of course with many small breakdowns !So unlike my other Bixby Friends that switched to Wood Pellets (Cheap Here! ) long ago this is my 1st FULL year burning wood pellets @ the House i ended my frustration and installed a Harman seeing the Bixby was qorth nect to nothing I am using it in my shop for supplemental heat with wood pellets it runs it shuts off it runs it runs it breaks down but it still gets the job i want done when it finally refuses to work Ill lett the junkman give me a few bucks or sell it to one of my friends for parts ! Yes they work on pellets and you should save some money ! Blume mentions using a little corn mixed in with the pellets and I must say it does help out ! Thanks for that tip BLUME !And wood is cheaper than Corn and my idea is to save as much as I can !

Mine is posted there with plenty of spare parts (Needed with the Bixby ) and my price was 1250 collectively the value of the parts if purchased seperately were worth pretty close to that !Ill bury it in the land fill before I give it away ! Mine heated our Home for five years on corn and kept us warm at a fration of the cost of oil ! LEt me say RIGHT NOW the Bixby has the best support out there and they should be thankful for all the people here Blume,RONA, CORNY to name a few that help and no change but as Jame states it always was something going wrong or we came Home and the stove would be off, it just was always something !Towards the end of last year with the price of corn going thru the roof we switched to wood pellets that turned into a nitemare ! I know mix a little corn in and alls well ,thats fine if youve got time ,to much of a hassle for me ! So I bought a Harman XXV only because a friend has a P68 bought it the same time I got my Bixby and has done nothing but clean it in all those years ! from late November till now the Harman has run without a hitch not even the slightess hickup !Cleaning from top to bottom 20 mins the most ! and very easy !all I need is a vac and a paintbrush ! Now for my Bixby it is now in service @ my place of business it is saving on oil and still gives me trouble but i can live with it there it isnt in my livingroom !If you have time to play dont mind going thru the hassel its a fine machine, if you want to turn it on forget about it well get something else

Why are you getting rid of the Bixby ? If I may ask ?

While visiting a friend who was cleaning his Bixby we checked the feeder wheel Gasket ! Ill post pics later it looked like Swiss cheese ! I had a spare so we installed it says the stove hasnt run that well in at least 4 years !Thank you Mike @ Bixbystoveparts for the OEM gasket and Blume thank you for telling me where to get it !!!
