The cast hearth pad does actually meet all clearance requirements as well.

Dumb question??? Is the stove sitting on the carpet??? There is no thing as a dumb question. No the stove is actually sitting on a cast iron hearth pad that is an option for the Accentra. if you look close, you will see the bottom of the stove looks like a trim accent piece and the hearth pad is the remainder of the cast. I figure this is why Harman offered this stove in the contest, to make install easy due to this hearth pad fitting anywhere.

I just took delivery of my new Harman Accentra that I won through their Pellet Challenge Contest. I entered sometime back around November I think and was notified in April that I had won. I got the stove, hearth pad and vent pipe as well as installation for free. I will get pics up when I get home tonight.

I have always pretty much burned corn in mine, tho that first year i burned pellets. I wonder if those heavy duty springs might have something to do with it? Is it possible to burn a mix? The corn would help keep it clean. I know, corn is dam expensive. Have you tried a couple bags of a different pellet just to see how they do? Did you try the pam thing to help prolong it? kap
Hi Kap, I have been using the dremel tool with grinder attachment to clean it and then spraying pam on it once a week, I may have to go to 2 times a week. I was wondering if maybe the new springs could be a culprit too. It seems like if I burn an ashier pellet, it does not happen. The Turmans are very hot and clean, but I am getting the little build up deposits on the floor.

Just wondering if anyone else is having problems with their autoclean floor? I am burning Turmans, very good pellet, my problem is that I am getting very hard deposits on the pot floor, causing the floor to get stuck when it cleans making the stove shut down until I grind the floor with my dremel to clean it. I usually do this once a week, but I never had this problem other years. I guess I just gotta shut her down 2 times a week and grind the floor to prevent shut downs in the middle of the night or while we are at work, it is gettin way to cold here for the stove to be shut down.

True. It over uses the igniter, but a controlable flame. It's worth the trade to me.
Its been burning good now. I will take the trade too, much less fuel used. Thanks Kap

Try utility, and manual. I have found my best luck with pellets is corn setting, on high altitude. This is the slowest feed.
I just switched it to corn setting, high elevation and -5. I will let ya know how it does, only bad part of this is the long ignitor times.

I am burning Turman Oak pellets in my AE, It is on hardwood pellets, auto, -5 flame height, high elevation I also tried normal elevation, the problem is that even on medium low and medium, the flame is hitting the top of the baffle. I thought maybe giving it more air on high elevation would calm it down a little. The stove is clean as is the exhaust, I used the leaf blower on it. Any suggestions?

just got it working, i plugged it in and when the motor ran, I pulled on the pot floor to help it, it went hard but then closed on its own. I then used a screw driver and scraped the pot floor real good, there was a small chunk of burned on ash on the front side of the floor that was causing it to hang up. After that I ran it through three cyckes by itself and it worked good. The floor looked very clean but there was that one little spot I didn't see.

Check auto-clean system to make sure there are no loose parts. Make sure there are no loose connections on the auto-clean micro switch wires. Pull the ashpan, and on the rear left of the area, there is a bolt that holds the auto-clean motor in place. Make sure this is tight, cause it can come loose and cause this issue. kap
Kap, the bolt in the ashpan area is tight, how do I get into the microswitch? The arm coming from the motor through the back wall to the autoclean pulses back and forth when the motor runs, so it almost seems as though the motor is running, but just don't have enough umph to move the pot floor.

Hey Kap, my stove has been off since this morning because it warmed up here, so I just went down to clean my glass and I saw that the pot floor was 95 percent open. I could hear the autoclean motor running and after looking on the thermostat, It said clean ashpan, however the pan was empty. I unplugged stove and the pot floor opened all the way as it is supposed to upon replugging into electric outlet, however, the motor will not close the floor. The motor is running and there is no obstruction that I can see. So I am guessing it is time for a new autoclean motor. Is there anything else I can try before going that route?

Just starting to cool down here, I usually end up starting it around Oct. 15th. All ready to go though, 4 tons of Turmans and a half of Stove Chow left over from last year. Corn is pushing $8 here, probably be awhile till I burn corn again.

Kap, the other day when I cleaned the AE, I saw a lot of black staining on the metal of the door around the glass. How often does the door gasket need to be replaced on the AE? I have just burned for my third year. Does the dollar bill test pertain to the AE as well?

something is still amiss if it is dumping hot ashes. did you make sure the tc was touching the inside end of the cover? I did make sure it was against when I put it back together, Can't say for certain it was before I removed the cover to check it though, I thought I had it tight against the last time it was apart, but I guess over time maybe they can move from brushing around it when cleaning the pot.

Just got done testing the thermocoupler, it had 16.3 mv. Yea I looked at the ashes my wife dumped and there were unburned pellets in with it so I am guessing that when it dumped, the hot ashes started to ignite and smolder the unburned pellets in the pan. I also remember when it happened the other day for me it also had some good pellets in with it.
